Podcasting, a hybrid word of iPod and broadcasting, is the automatic delivery of audio content over the Internet for playback on personal computers, iPods and other mp3 players. A podcast is distinguished from other media formats by the ability of users to subcribe to a 'show' and have each new podcast automatically downloaded.
It is like a radio programme except with the convenience of being able to listen to each segment whenever you choose.
You have three options:
1. You can listen straight from the site using the provided player. Just click on the play button (This option requires a fast internet connection).
2. You can download the podcast by clicking on the 'Download Podcast Free' link (If you want to save podcast to your computer right click on this link and choose 'save link as' or 'save target as').
3. You can subscribe to the 'show' (series of podcasts) using a podcatcher service - see below.
When you subscribe to a podcast series (or channel) each new podcast is automatically downloaded for you when it is published.
To subsribe you need to use software called a podcatcher like iTunes, or Juice.
To subscribe using iTunes just click on the
icon at the top of the podcast page and follow the instructions in iTunes.
For other podcatcher software or services you will need to enter the shows' RSS feed URL which can be found by clicking on the
